Financial Support

Some of the events Friends of the Library funds have supported include:

• Canada Day parade banners and balloons
• Summer Reading Club events
• Author visits and book launches
• Christmas Open House refreshments
• Lights and plants for Christmas decorations
• Movie licence to allow public showings of movies
• Supplies for the Reading Buddies program
• Library.Card.Cool initiative for which the Library was given the 2006 Angus Mowat Award of Excellence
• Open a BOOK; Open a BUSINESS initiative for which the Library was given the 2007 Angus Mowat Award of Excellence
